ANNOUNCING THE BIRTH OF THE CARIBBEAN AMERINDIAN DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION
31st March 2013
The Caribbean Amerindian Development Organization (CADO) wishes to publicly support the legitimate cause and claims of the Amerindian People's Liberation Front. Furthermore, CADO offers to assist the APLF with humanitarian aid to the greatest extend that is possible.
9th December 2012
On this day of 9th December 2012 history is being recorded in the annals of Caribbean Amerindians yet again, 6 members of the best known three pre-Colombian native Amerindian Peoples of the Caribbean, the Taino of the North Caribbean, the Kalinago of the Central Caribbean, and the Lokono of the South Caribbean, announced the birth of the (non-profit) Caribbean Amerindian Development Organisation (CADO). The gender balanced CADO Council founder/life members are:
Damon Corrie & Shirling Simon-Corrie (Lokono)
These 6 kindred souls are among the best known representatives of their Tribal Nations in this Hemisphere at the highest International levels of the Organisation of American States (OAS) and the United Nations (UN), few others have earned the well-deserved reputations as being dedicated to their peoples by their ACTIONS - not mere words.
The CADO Council members collectively stated:
From their spiritual perspective and in their Caribbean traditionalist Amerindian Cosmovision, the 3 tribes are of the same maternal umbilical cord/tree of life, with a base/roots in the Lokono South, a middle/ solid trunk in the Kalinago center, and top/crown & branches in the Taino North.
The CADO motto is:
These noble-minded 6 have some parting words the world would do well to heed:
Everyone knows we are the most TALKED ABOUT but least LISTENED TO of all Amerindian peoples in this Hemisphere ....
Everyone knows we are still suffering from present day Neo-Colonialism in our Caribbean that continues to ignore or marginalize our very existence and continued survival... And everyone WILL know by our historic action on this day that we will CONTINUE to resist our attempted conquest and assimilation - and we shall do so henceforth as one blood, one mind, and one spirit; as our ancestors did before us! For as it was in the beginning...so shall it be in the end."
